President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Nasr Al-Hariri, on Wednesday participated in a collective wedding of 43 couples from various Syrian regions.
The wedding ceremony was attended by SOC’s Vice-prtesdient Ruba Habboush, member of the political committee Muhammad Yahya Maktabi, member of the General Assembly Ahmed Al-Shahadi, and the SOC’s representative in Gaziantep Colonel Muhammad Al-Shamali.
The wedding was also attended by head of the local council in Jarablus, the revolution trustees in Jarablus, al-Bab and Manbij, representatives of the Syrian National Army and public civil society organizations in the region.
Al-Hariri called for encouraging these initiatives in view of their role in building families; facilitating marriage; and rengthening social cohesion and stability. He congratulated the couples as he wished them happiness, and that they start a new life full of love, happiness and respect.
The cerememony came as a joint charitable initiative from the Endowments and Islamic Affairs in Jarablus, the Syrian National Army, and charitable organizations operating in the region. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
