President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Salem al-Meslet, visited the Syrian Tribal Council accompanied by Head of the Syrian Interim Government (SIG), Abdulrahman Mustafa, and members of the political committee and the General Assembly.
Al-Meslet reaffirmed the SOC’s support for the Syrian Tribal Council and its role in organizing the efforts of the Syrian tribes in order to strengthen their role in the Syrian revolution and the unity of Syria’s social fabric.
He also reaffirmed the SOC’s keenness on the presence of the Council and the qualified people of the Syrian tribes in the SOC as the umbrella group for the revolutionary and political forces in Syria. He stressed the need for unity in all efforts aimed at achieving the demands of the Syrian people for freedom, dignity and building a democratic state.
Al-Meslet added that the SOC hopes that the unity of the Syrian tribes will be a nucleus for the unity of all Syrians in order to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people for freedom, dignity and democracy. He stressed the need for every Syrian to spare no effort to serve this great revolution and achiee its demands, adding: “All of us are in the service of the revolution and the Syrian people. We will gain more esteem by serving our people.”
For his part, Mustafa gave an overview on SIG’s work in the liberated areas, noting that it focuses on building institutions, managing those areas and improving basic services.
