Vice-president of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) for Foreign Affairs, Abdulahad Astepho, presented a report on the work of the Department of Foreign Relations during the past two months, in which he highlighted the activities and tasks accomplished by the department.
Astepho reviewed the course of the department’s periodic meetings, which reached its 56th meeting, and talked about the preparations it is making at the political level, keeping abreast of local, regional and international event, monitoring the major challenges, identifying tools, and making recommendations and proposals.
Astepho gave an overview on the work of the SOC’s representatives in Arab and Western countries, noting that the Department had evaluated the work of the SOC’s representations and foreign missions, and followed up on the extension of UN resolution 2585 for the cross-border delivery of aid in coordination with US officials.
Astepho pointed out that the Department is working on a number of issues in the coming period within a clear plan in order to keep abreast with events and achieve the goals agreed upon with the presidential plan.
