The Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) General Assembly held its 60th session on Monday. It discussed the field and military situations as well as the latest developments in the political process.
SOC’s President Salem al-Meslet gave an overview on the major political and field events and meetings, stressing that there will be no solution in Syria as long as the Assad regime survives in power. He also stressed that the Syrian people still seek the overthrow of the regime and holding all its criminals accountable.
He also stressed that this has been the SOC’s firm, explicit stance since day one, stressing that any statements seeking to dilute this stance or suggest otherwise are absolutely rejected.
SOC’s Vice-presidents Abdulahad Astepho, Abdel-Hakim Bashar and Ruba Habboush, and Secretary-General Haitham Rahma submitted reports on their work and diplomatic meetings during the past two months.
Moreover, coordinators of the SOC’s departments, offices and committees submitted reports on their work as they discussed most of the Syrian issues inside and outside Syria. They also detailed the efforts of the SOC’s departments to revitalize the political process and ensure the implementation of UN resolutions on Syria.
Head of the Syrian Interim Government, Abdurrahman Mustafa, presented a report on the work and activities of his government in the liberated areas.
