The Syrian Interim Government (SIG) presented its comprehensive work report during the 67th regular session of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) General Assembly on Friday.
The report offered an overview of the activities and projects undertaken by SIG in the health, education, service, and security sectors over the past two months. It also highlighted the field visits and tours conducted by SIG’s Head, Abdul Rahman Mustafa, to assess the progress of recent projects and gain an understanding of the region’s current reality.
In addition, the report showcased the decisions issued by SIG at educational, service, and administrative levels, affirming that they align with prior plans and adapt to the developments in the Syrian context.
Notably, the report emphasized the significant efforts of the Ministries of Defense and Interior in safeguarding the population in the liberated areas, defending against military and terrorist attacks by the Assad regime, its allies, and other terrorist organizations such as the PYD and PKK.
An important aspect addressed in the report was the economic growth rate in the liberated areas, inflation rate, monthly consumer price index, and average household expenditure for the months of April, May, and June. Additionally, the Ministry of Finance and Economy prepared a quarterly work plan.
The report delved into the work of the General Grains Foundation and the General Directorate of Customs, providing details on the quantities of wheat milled in the Foundation’s mills, bread prices, and border crossings’ activities, including import and export quantities.
Lastly, the Sports and Youth Commission presented its own report, highlighting recent actions taken to organize youth and sports activities across the liberated areas.
