President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Hadi Al-Bahra, and President of the Syrian Negotiations Commission, Badr Jamous, met with the Chargé d’Affaires at the Syrian Embassy in Qatar, Bilal Turkia, along with several members of the Syrian community, during their participation in the 21st Doha Forum in Doha. The forum spanned two days and was attended by heads of state, as well as regional and international organizations.
Al-Bahra and Jamous commended the effective role played by the embassy in serving the Syrian community in Qatar. The discussions delved into the latest developments in the field and the political situation in Syria. Al-Bahra shared insights from his recent visits and meetings in various liberated areas with leaders of service and executive institutions, representatives of syndicates, unions, and displaced persons’ associations. He underscored the collective role in advancing northern Syria and reshaping the narrative to regain international attention on the Syrian crisis.
Al-Bahra emphasized that consultation among Syrians enriches ideas and that keeping them informed about the latest developments, meetings, and key challenges provides an opportunity to propose solutions that all those willing and able can contribute to achieving.
The conversation also covered the efforts of the Syrian Negotiations Commission in mobilizing international community support and revitalizing the political process to implement UN resolutions on Syria, notably UN Resolutions 2118 and 2254. The necessity of uniting the efforts of Syrians wherever they are to serve their cause and their country was strongly emphasized.
