At least four hospitals have been bombed by Russian fighter jets since the start of its aggression on Syria.
“Doctors for Human Rights,” a rights group said it has documented 313 attacks on medical facilities in Syria since the revolution’s start in March 2011, resulting in the death of nearly 679 medical personnel.
The group added that regime forces have been responsible for more than 90% of these attacks, which amount to war crimes.
Member of the Syrian Coalition, Jawad Abu Hatab, a doctor working in Syria, said that Russian air strikes targeted hospitals providing medical care to civilians in early October, forcing medical staff to declare a state of emergency to evacuate all hospitals for fear of Russian aerial attacks.
Abu Hatab urges the international community to stop the Russian aggression on Syria as soon as possible, warning that medical teams will be forced to stop providing medical services in Syrian territory. (Source: Syrian Coalition + Agencies)
