The Action Group for Palestinians of Syria said that 56 Palestinian-Syrians from the Sbeinah refugee camp in the Damascus suburbs, among them two women, have been forcibly disappeared by the Assad regime since the start of the Syrian Revolution in March 2011.
In a new report issued on Monday, the London-based monitoring group said that the Assad regime denies it is detaining Palestinian-Syrians, which makes it impossible to know anything about the fate of detainees save some information that are usually provided by ex-detainees.
The Group indicated that it has so far documented the deaths of no fewer than 620 Palestinian-Syrians under torture in the prisons of the Assad regime.
The Group renewed its calls for disclosing the fate and whereabouts of Palestinian-Syrians who are still held in the prisons of the Assad regime. Previous calls by the group were all ignored by the regime.
