Assistance Coordination Unit’s (ACU) team in Jordan delivered relief aid during March to the needy households in Dara’a, Quneitra and some parts of rural Damascus in collaboration with local partners. The relief aid included more than 12,000 food rations, around 50 tons of dates, around 800 tons of flour, baby milk, rice, canned food, dates, yeast and others. The aid also included 12,000 winter coats, 18,000 winter covers, mattresses and pillows for the displaced families. As part of ACU’s efforts to support field hospitals, it delivered 2,500 packs of drugs and around 200 medical devices.” It is expected that 100,000 people at least received the aid. ACU extends thanks to Saudi Arabia for its great efforts in providing the relief aid and also to the organizations that contributed to the relief efforts, namely Awn, Save the Children, USAID, SAMS, and SRD organizations.
