The Assad regime and Russian forces continue to violate the ceasefire in the fourth ‘de-escalation zone’ in northwestern Syria as the Emergency Response Coordinators Team in Syria said that it counted more than 54 violations in the period between 18-25 June.
The Team said that the ceasefire breaches included 34 ground attacks on various areas across Idlib province, five in rural Hama, four in Lattakia province, and two in rural Aleppo. The Team also recorded five aerial attacks on Idlib province and one on rural Hama.
The Team pointed out that the breaches killed three civilians and injured many others as well as forced hundreds of households to flee their homes.
The Team called on international organizations to put an end to the Assad regime and Russia’s breaches of the ceasefire as it warned that the continued hostilities in the region may cause new waves of displacement. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
