The Action Group for Palestinians of Syria said that it recorded the names of 98 Palestinian-Syrians who were detained by the Assad regime in the Nayrab refugee camp in Aleppo in the period between March 2011 and mid-December 2020.
In a report issued on Monday, the London-based monitoring group said that some of those detainees died under torture.
A previous report by the Group indicated that at least 620 Palestinian-Syrians have died under torture in the prisons of the Assad regime since March 2011, adding that at least 1,797 others are still detained by the Assad regime.
The Group also said that it gathered testimonies about widespread human rights abuses in the prisons of the Assad regime, such as physical and emotional torture and sexual abuse. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
