The Syrian Tribal Council convened its second annual conference in the town of Azaz on Monday, with the participants including council members as well as political, social and revolutionary personalities.
Secretary-General of the Council, Salem Al-Meslet, opened the conference with a speech that reaffirmed support for the demands of the Syrian people for freedom, dignity and democratic transition. He also reaffirmed commitment to the principles of the Syrian revolution as he stressed the need to combine efforts to build a Syria that is free from tyranny and terrorism.
Al-Meslet also reaffirmed commitment to Syria’s territorial integrity and rejection of all forms of terrorism. He also expressed the Council’s outright rejection of the separatist agendas of the terrorist militias, namely those with links to the PPK terrorist group and also the Iranian-backed militias.
