The Action Group for the Palestinians of Syria said that the Assad regime still detains no fewer than 110 Palestinian-Syrian women whose fate is still unknow.
In a report issued to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the London-based monitoring group said that these women were detained mostly at the entrances to Palestinian refugee camps and security checkpoints across Syria.
It pointed out that the Assad regime’s security services refuse to disclose the fate and names of Palestinian female detainees.
The Group earlier published horrific testimonies about the maltreatment female detainees in the prisons of the Assad regime are being subjected to, such as physical and psychological torture as well as sexual abuse. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
