President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Nasr Al-Hariri, met with Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in the Qatari capital, Doha on Monday.
Al-Hariri was accompanied by Head of the Syrian Interim Government, Abdurrahman Mustafa, Vice-presidents Abd al-Hakim Bashar and Ruba Habboush, Secretary-General Abdelbaset Abdullatif, and Coordinator of the Department of Foreign Relations, Abdulahad Asteipho.
The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation and relations as well as the latest developments in Syria.
Al Thani reaffirmed Qatar’s support for UN efforts aimed at reaching a political solution in Syria in accordance with the Geneva Communique of 2012 and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, especially Resolution 2254 so as to meet the legitimate aspirations of the Syrian people for security, stability and integrity of Syrian territory.
