The Syrian interim government met with members of Aleppo Local Council at the headquarters of the interim government in Gaziantep. The meeting was attended by Ministers of Communications, Health, Infrastructure, Local Administration, and members of the Executive Office of Finance and Services. The meeting discussed the relationship between the interim government and the local councils and the ways to organize the work of the departments of the various ministries in the province. The attendees stressed the need to develop this relationship to reach the optimum performance to serve the daily needs of the Syrian citizens. The interim government stresses that “that the concentration of support in the province of Aleppo would be a model and a kick start to expand this support for all Syrian territory.” The two sides agreed on “the need to find mechanisms to communicate with all the actors in liberated Syrian territory, whether civil or military to serve the needs of the Syrian people.” (Press Department – Syrian Interim Government)
