The Syrian Revolution’s karate and judo team is participating in Turkey’s International Open Karate Championship along with 40 teams from 40 countries for all age groups. The Syrian player Muhannad al-Ali won a silver medal in the second day of the championship in the men’s category.
The tournament began yesterday in Istanbul and will last for three days, and it is expected that other Syrian players will participate. Head the Free Syrian Federation of Karate and Judo Ahmed Jamil Ali said that the Syrian team carries a peaceful message and represent a people who struggle for a better life.
