The Syrian states it “welcomes the adoption by the United Nations Security Council of resolution 2209 condemning the use of chlorine gas in Syria. However, more is needed to prevent further attacks against civilians as reports of regime use of chlorine gas continue to pour in from places like Aleppo and Daraa.”
Spokesman for the Syrian Coalition Salem al-Meslet reiterates calls for referring crimes related to the use of chlorine gas and all other chemical weapons in Syria to the International Criminal Court, especially since the Assad regime and its supporters deny the use of these weapons against civilians.
Meslet also reiterates calls on international community to take full responsibility towards the situation in Syria, stressing the need to take concrete steps to enable the FSA to defend civilians and to ward off Assad’s air force that is raining barrel bombs and rockets on unarmed civilians.
