The interim Ministry of Finance and Economy said in a report that “the financial support the interim government has received since January 22, 2014 totaled $85.68 million USD.” The Ministry also said that as of June 30, around $24.07 million USD were budgeted to implement projects inside Syria, while $4.86 million USD were used to cover administrative expenses and salaries. $44.57 million USD are reserved until the end of the year for the implementation of the interim government’s decisions and projects. There is a $4.65 million USD deficit in the government’s budget. The Ministry expects that the total expenditures will total $73.5 million USD by the end of 2014. Around 80% of the overall expenditure was allocated to implement projects inside Syria, while the proportion of expenditures on Turkish and Lebanese territories amounted to 3% in each country.” The Ministry also pointed out that “expenditures include implemented projects or those still in progress, totaling 124 projects, including 22 projects in the neighboring countries and 12 projects in Turkey.
