An art exhibition featuring artwork by local schoolchildren in the town of Tal Shihab in western rural Dara’a began on Monday. The three-day exhibition, which features cartoons, paintings and sculptures, is the first of its kind in the town.
Most of the artwork put on display reflects the reality experienced by residents of the area, especially children in that part of the country ravaged by the war the Assad regime has waged against the Syrian people for over five years.
Organizers said the exhibition provides an opportunity for children to depict the painful reality they have been going through.
Organizers also said that the art exhibition is a unique step to motivate schoolchildren to show their talents and express their opinions and ideas, especially in Dara’a province where the revolution was ignited by children themselves. (Source: Syrian Coalition + Shahid News Nework)
