At least 18 civilians, including 6 children and 5 women, were killed on Tuesday in attacks by the Assad regime and the Iranian militias across Syria.
The Syrian Coalition’s Media Office said it has recorded 41 violations of the ceasefire agreement by regime forces and the Iranian militias in 6 Syrian provinces on Tuesday.
The civil defense corps has said that one of its workers, named Mohammed Sawan, was killed in bombardment on the Wadi Barada valley in Rural Damascus, while 5 civilians were wounded. The assault on Wadi Barada valley by regime forces and the Iranian-backed militias has continued for the 13th consecutive day. The intense aerial and artillery bombardment on the area has put the Ayn Alfija water pumping station out of service and caused a decline in the water level of the Ayn Alfija spring.
A source in the Coalition said that the Assad regime and its allies have been desperately trying to sabotage the ceasefire agreement out of determination to pursue a military solution to the conflict.
The source stressed that the armed opposition provided maps detailing its positions as part of the agreement, which refutes claims by the regime and its allies about the presence of extremist groups in Wadi Barada valley. He stressed the need to urgently stop violations of the agreement. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Office)
