President of the Syrian Coalition Anas al-Abdah congratulated Syrian mothers on Mother’s Day, celebrated in Syria on 21st of March. He commended the pivotal role Syrian women play in the Syrian revolution. Abdah was speaking during a visit on Monday to Ufuk Association, a charity organization based in the Turkish city of Gaziantep which cares for Syrian orphans and widows.
Abdah described Syria’s women as the revolution’s most valuable asset who made immense sacrifices in the battle for freedom and dignity. “Syria’s mothers gave up their loved ones for the sake of Syria; many of these loved ones are now detainees or fighting to defend the Syrian people against the Assad regime and its allied militias.”
Abbdah added addressing Syrian mothers: “The seeds you have planted will unquestionably yield a decent life and a better future for all of us. By virtue of the sacrifices you have made, Syrians will reclaim freedom and dignity and will liberate the country of the Assad regime and his criminal gangs as well the barbarous militias. All refugees and those displaced will return to their homes, and we will rebuild our country the basis of justice, equality and dignity for all Syrians.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)
