Member of the Syrian National Coalition’s (SOC) political committee, Abdelbaset Abdullatif, stressed that the areas east of the Euphrates are constantly witnessing protests against the practices of the PYD terrorist militia, adding that these protests may escalate into armed confrontations.
Abdullatif pointed out that the PYD militia is carrying out terrorist practices that do not differ from those of ISIS before its elimination.
He also said that the PYD militia attacks the local dignitaries and seeks to change the culture of the region by imposing school curricula and social traditions that are alien to it, citing the dismissal of teachers who oppose the PYD’s policies.
Abdullatif added that the local population reject the presence of this militia and its mandate over them and their self-determination. They also demand that the international community stop supporting the PYD militia and force it out of the region.
He stressed that the PYD militia and the PKK terrorist organization will eventually withdraw and return to their areas in the Qandil Mountains.
