Head of the Syrian Interim Government (SIG) Jawad Abu Hatab held an extensive meeting in rural Idlib with SIG ministers, heads of local councils, representatives of trade unions, and 250 representatives of civil society.
During the meeting, which lasted about five hours, SIG ministers presented their plan of action for the next phase while a decision was made to open new SIG directorates in all of the Syrian provinces, including in the areas of public services, transport and finance.
Participants in the meeting discussed ways to improve the relationship and bridge the gap among state institutions, local councils, and civil society organizations. They also discussed good local administration and the empowerment of SIG institutions.
Abu Hatab said that the improvement of these relationships and the empowerment of SIG institutions will considerably improve the provision of services to the civilian population in the liberated areas. Abu Hatab urged everyone to work together to fill the vacuum in the liberated areas and enable SIG institutions to serve the civilian population. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Department)
