President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Hadi Al-Bahra, underscored that Ahmed Al-Habash’s self-immolation in response to his son’s abduction serves as a poignant outcry of pain and protest against the silence of the international community regarding these atrocities, which it persistently overlooks.
Al-Bahra highlighted that the ongoing abduction, recruitment, and forced enlistment of child soldiers for involvement in terrorist military activities represent just one facet of the numerous violations perpetrated by the PYD terrorist militia in the areas under its control. He urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by putting an end to these crimes and holding their perpetrators accountable.
In the Al-Malikiyah area of the Hasakah countryside, a resident set himself on fire in protest against the abduction of his underage son by the PYD terrorist militia, who subsequently took the boy to a military recruitment camp.
According to local sources, the PYD militia abducted 16-year-old Ahmed al-Habash on February 9. Subsequently, the boy’s father received a call informing him that his son had undergone military training in one of the PYD militia’s camps, despite the child suffering from various medical conditions documented by medical committees in the town of Qamishli.
This incident occurred concurrently with the abduction of 16-year-old girl, Saadiya Hassan, by the PYD terrorist militia in the town of Amuda in the Hasakah countryside on February 16.
In a video interview, Sana Ibrahim, the mother of the girl, disclosed that the PYD militia kidnapped her daughter, and three days later, a member of the militia contacted them to inform them that their child would undergo military training with them.
