President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Nasr Al-Hariri, visited the SOC’s office in the province of Gaziantep and met with the SOC’s representative Muhammad Al-Shamali to discussed with him the office’s role and its daily activities in serving Syrian refugees in the province.
Al-Hariri talked about ways to improve the office’s performance and the mechanisms for helping Syrian refugees in the province by providing them with aid and services, especially with regard to immigration and legal documents.
Al-Hariri stressed the importance of reaching out to Syrian civil society organizations and Syrian political blocs in Gaziantep in order to enhance the SOC’s role. He also touched on the need for participating in activities and seminars jointly between Syrian and Turkish societies.
Al-Shamali gave an overview on the office’s activities in Gaziantep, adding that the office participates in a monthly meeting with the governor of Gaziantep along with many Turkish departments to discuss the various issues facing Syrian refugees in the province.
He pointed out that the office also participates in periodic meetings with the Director of Immigration in Gaziantep to discuss solutions for the issues of Syrian refugees in the Immigration Management and the rest of Turkish institutions. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
