Abdebasset Abdellatif, the Coordinator of the Al-Jazira and Euphrates Committee in the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), presented a work report covering the past two years to the political committee. Additionally, he outlined the committee’s work plan for the upcoming stage.
Abdellatif provided an overview of the changes in political representation in al-Jazira and Euphrates regions and shared insights gathered from direct communication with the region’s residents regarding their needs.
The report highlighted the committee’s engagements, including meetings with organizations, parties, and international bodies. It also mentioned the committee’s efforts in campaigning to lift the siege imposed on the towns of Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ayn.
Furthermore, the report touched upon the Iranian influence in the region and the rising migration rates due to forced conscription by the PYD terrorist militia and challenging living conditions.
The report indicated the committee’s active participation in workshops with research centers, as well as visits to Turkish provinces and field visits to the Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ayn regions.
