President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Salem Al-Meslet, met with the Qatari Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Regional Affairs Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khulaifi, on the sidelines of the 20th version of the Doha Forum.
The two sides discussed the course of the political process, the refugee situation, and the major developments in Syria.
Al-Meslet stressed the important role of the Arab states in pushing the political process in Syria forward and reaching a political solution that fulfills the aspirations of the Syrian people for freedom, dignity and democracy.
He stressed the need to reject the return of the Assad regime to the Arab League, prevent attempts for normalization of ties with the Assad regime, and support accountability to prevent impunity for criminals.
