The Assad regime forces and Iran-backed militias continued their military escalation in Dara’a province which has witnessed a significant increase in arrests and assassinations since it was recaptured by the Assad regime in mid-2018.
The Violations Documentation Office of the Ahrar Horan Conglomerate said that it recorded the deaths of 53 people, including two children and a woman, in Dara’a province in August.
The Office pointed out that a media activist affiliated with the Conglomerate was killed under torture in Sednaya Military Prison after being detained for more than three years.
The Office also said that it had counted at least 33 assassinations and assassinations attempts, which resulted in the killing of 21 people and the injury of 15 others.
The Office also documented the arrest of 28 people by the Assad regime forces in Dara’s province in August, of whom four were released in the same month.
According to the office, the Assad regime forces and Iranian-backed militias have stolen and sabotaged agricultural crops south of the town of Tafas, bringing the total losses of farmers to more than 1.5 billion Syrian pounds.
