President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Salem al-Meslet, visited the office of the Raqqa Provincial Council in the Turkish province of Şanlıurfa and met with the Chairman of the Council, Fayez al-Kati’ and the council’s members. The two sides discussed the situation in Raqqa province and the ongoing crimes against civilians at the hands of the PYD terrorist militia.
Al-Meslet was accompanied by SOC’s members Jihad Matar and Hussein Al-Ra’ad, and Minister of Agriculture Hayel Al-Kalesh.
The two sides also discussed the living conditions in the towns of Tel Abyad and Ras al-Ayn in light of the blockade imposed on them, stressing the need to secure the needs of the population and improve basic services.
Al-Meslet stressed that the SOC institution belongs to all Syrians, and that it is working to complete the reform plan that it announced earlier by co-opting representatives of unions, syndicates, youth associations and the Syrian communities in the diaspora.
He stressed the need to combine efforts and strengthen cooperation and coordination in order to stand up to the upcoming challenges facing the Syrian revolution, and commit to the goals of the Syrian revolution and Syrian people’s aspirations for freedom, dignity and democracy.
