Vice President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Abdul Majeed Barakat, emphasized that the true intentions of the Hezbollah terrorist militia have been unveiled to the Arab and Islamic worlds. He said that Hezbollah’s purported defense of Palestine and resistance against Israeli occupation has been exposed as mere falsehoods, making its allegiance and genuine objectives abundantly clear to everyone.
Barakat pointed to the recent address by Hezbollah’s leader, which he believes further revealed the real nature of these militias and their allegiance to the Iranian regime’s regional ambitions.
He underlined that the Hezbollah militia has consistently supported Assad’s forces from the very beginning, steadfastly standing by the regime’s side and actively participating in its abhorrent and egregious war crimes against innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly in various Syrian regions.
Furthermore, Barakat said that the Hezbollah militia’s actions have led to the besieging, killing, starvation, and displacement of Palestinians from their homes in the Yarmouk camp in Damascus. These actions contradict their claims of resistance against Israeli occupation and defense of Palestinians.
Barakat stressed that the Syrian revolution, the Palestinian cause, and the ongoing events in Gaza have unveiled the true nature of all parties attempting to exploit these two causes. These revelations will continue to resonate with every honest and sincere individual within the Arab and Islamic worlds.
