The Syrian Civil Defense, also known as the White Helmets, has warned that the ongoing terrorist attacks pose a severe threat to the lives of civilians in northwestern Syria. These attacks, carried out through various means such as car bombings and shelling by the Assad regime and Russian forces, have exacerbated the suffering of people in the region and have perpetuated over 12 years of continuous instability caused by the war waged against the Syrian people.
According to the Civil Defense, the recent wave of attacks represents a blatant violation of international humanitarian law. The organization has criticized the international community for its failure to hold the perpetrators of these crimes against Syrians accountable.
In one of the latest incidents, a car bomb detonated in the village of Shawa in eastern rural Aleppo, resulting in the tragic deaths of five civilians, including a child, and the injury of three others. Additionally, the Assad regime and Russian forces on Sunday targeted civilian homes in the town of Al-Bara in southern rural Idlib, injuring three children, one of whom is in critical condition.
