The Syrian Coalition’s foreign mission in Croatia appealed to the Croatian government, the United Nations, international organizations, and friends of the Syrian people to save Aleppo from the barbaric onslaught by the Assad regime and its Russian and Iranian allies.
Head of the foreign mission Jamal Asaad condemned the Russian aggression on Syria, calling on the Syrian people’s friendly countries to stop the war crimes being committed against the Syrian people. Asaad urged the international community to assume its responsibilities to protect civilians in Syria.
The Russian aggression against Syria entered its second year on Saturday. Activists and rights groups said that at least 4,237 people, of whom 3,948 are civilians, have so far died as a result of the ongoing Russian aerial campaign on Syria, which began on September 29, 2016.
The victims included 931 children, 589 women, 19 members of the medical staff, 14 relief workers, 7 journalists, and 5 rescue workers. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
