The Management Committee of the inaugural investment conference in northern Syria conducted its sixth preparatory workshop at the government representation headquarters in Gaziantep. Syrian Interim Government Head Abdurrahman Mustafa attended the workshop, which focused on engaging investors and industrialists from Gaziantep.
Discussions revolved around the efforts to ensure the conference’s success, scheduled for January 17-18, 2024, and the ongoing steps to finalize preparations.
The workshop also addressed key challenges in attracting national capital to invest in northern Syria, exploring crucial ideas and visions for the conference’s success.
The primary goal of the first investment conference in northern Syria is to enhance economic development in liberated areas, improving living conditions, and increasing job opportunities. Strategies include creating an appealing investment environment, assessing the current state of investment, establishing business incubators for small projects, encouraging entrepreneurship among youth, forging strategic partnerships internally and externally, and developing an investment map for sustainable development.
