Sarah : Assad regime continues with the disinformation campaign

Truce in Homs Extended Another Three Days
The UN delegation in Syria extended deadline for evacuating civilians trapped in the old neighborhoods of Homs for another 72 hours, while evacuations continued today despite the breach of the truce and casualties among civilians as a result of the bombing by the Assad regime forces. The relief team that was formed by the UN delegation and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent was able to take out about 500 civilians from the besieged neighborhoods, despite the breach of the truce by Assad’s forces, who opened fire and shelled districts with mortar rounds. Relief aid was delivered to people who are still trapped in the city according to an UN-brokered agreement. (Source: Al Hayat)

Transfer of Third Batch of Assad’s Chemical Weapons To Latakia Port
Media sources reported that the Assad regime transferred the third batch of chemical weapons to the port of Latakia to be destroyed in the territorial waters. The joint mission of the United Nations and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons announced on January 7 and 27 that the first and second batches of Assad’s chemical weapons to the international waters. The Assad regime agreed to abandon its chemical weapons under an agreement proposed by Russia in order to avoid a possible U.S. military strike after it carried out gas attack in August of last year in Damascus suburbs, killing more than 1,300 people, mostly women and children.

Death Toll: 42 People Killed Today, 170 Yesterday
The Local Coordination Committees documented the death of 170 people yesterday, while 42 people were killed today, including 8 women and 4 children. Deaths were cited as: 14 in Daraa, 11 in Damascus, 9 in Aleppo, 5 in Idlib, and 3 in Homs. (Source: LCC)

Aerial Shelling Kills Five Civilians in Maliha
Assad’s warplanes launched air raids on the town of Maliha in rural Damascus, killing 5 people and injuring others, including women and children. Regime forces also shelled Zabadani in Rural Damascus, killing three civilians and injuring dozens. Assad’s warplanes also launched barrel bombs attacks on Daraya and Khan al Shih, killing one civilian and wounding dozens. Jobar neighborhood came under artillery shelling. Air Raids Kill Nine Civilians In Tseil Of Dara’a
Assad’s warplanes launched air raids on the town of Tseil in rural Dara’a, killing nine civilians and wounding dozens. Regime forces shelled Bosra Sham with heavy artillery, killing four civilians, including two children. 8 students were injured in Mazirab when Assad’s warplanes targeted their school. The Free Syrian Army captured parts of Brigade No. 61 in Quneitra province. (Source: Syrian Coalition + LCC)

Aerial Shelling Kills Seven People In Haiyan of Aleppo
Assad’s warplanes launched barrel bombs attacks on the town of Haiyan in rural Aleppo, killing seven civilians and wounding dozens, some in critical condition. Aerial shelling also killed five civilians in Hanano in Aleppo and Sakhour, while Islamic Brigades seized the village Paschkwi in Aleppo after heavy clashes with ISIS fighters. FSA Capture Tank Battalion in Morek
The FSA captured the tank battalion in Morek north of Hama after violent clashes with regime forces, alongside heavy shelling by regime forces. Assad’s warplanes launched air raid on Aellatamna in rural Hama, causing civilian casualties and material damage.  (Source: Syrian Coalition + LCC)
