5,000 Barrel Bombs Dropped by Assad Regime so far on Syrian Cities The Syrian Coalition’s Health Committee said that more than 5,000 barrel bombs were dropped by Assad’s helicopters on Syrian cities and villages, which claimed the lives of around 20,000 people and injured 100,000 at least, mostly women, children and the elderly. These barrel bombs are composed of TNT, fertilizer and aluminum powder that helps raise the temperature, in addition to some shrapnel and a variety of iron pieces.
