Syrian Coalition: Geneva II Is The Beginning Of The End for Assad’s Terror

Assad Forces Kill Volunteers in Anti-Polio Campaign
Mohammed Qala’aji, a volunteer in the mobile anti-polio campaign, died yesterday in Aleppo as a result of bombing by regime forces. Hossam Jarrod also died when Assad’s forces shelled the Shifa Hospital in Saraqeb in Idlib province. ACU announced the launch of the second round of the campaign on Tuesday and will last for six days. The campaign will be supervised by the Turkish and Qatari Red Crescent. More than quarter of a million children were given anti-polio vaccines during the first round. The team that oversaw the campaign consisted of 8,500 volunteers and a group of Syrian and international organizations distributed to more than 3,500 areas. The six-month campaign seeks to reach out to 2.5 million Syrian children. (Source: Syrian Coalition)

Death Toll: 30 People Killed Today, 88 Yesterday
The Local Coordination Committees documented 88 civilians killed yesterday, while 30 people were killed as of 6:00 pm of today, including a woman and two children. Deaths were cited as 8 in Damascus, 11 in Aleppo , and 3 in each of Dara’a and Hama, 2 in each of Homs and Deir Ezzor, and a one in Idlib. (Source: LCC)

Artillery Shelling Kills Three Civilians in Douma
Regime forces shelled the city of Douma north of Damascus with rockets and heavy artillery, killing three children and injuring dozens. Regime forces also shelled civilian neighborhoods in Yabrood, killing one person and injuring dozens. Meanwhile, Assad’s warplanes launched barrel bomb attacks on Dariya and Zabadani. The Free Syrian Army clashed with regime forces in Zummaniyah in rural Damascus. (Source: Syrian Coalition + LCC)

FSA Captures Air Defense Battalion in Quneitra Province
The FSA captured an air defense battalion in the village of Mamtna in Quneitra province after violent clashes with regime forces. Clashes broke out between the Free Syrian Army and regime forces near Brigade No.15 in Inkhil. Meanwhile, regime forces shelled Abta, Eastern Maliha and Dara’a. Meanwhile, regime forces opened fire on civilians in Sanamein, killing one and injuring others. (Source: Syrian Coalition + LCC)

Non-stop Barrel Bombs Attacks on Aleppo
Assad’s warplanes launched barrel bomb attacks on eastern Aleppo, killing seven civilians in Al Sha’ar and four in Ansari, Hanano and Muyasar. Menawhile, the Free Syrian Army captured the Manbej- Raqqa road. (Source: Syrian Coalition + LCC)

FSA Advances on Regime Forces in Northern Hama
The Free Syrian Army shot down a jet fighter west of Morek in northern Hama. Assad’s air forces bombed the town, killing a woman and her child. The Free Syrian Army overran regime forces at Atshan and Abboud checkpoints east of Morek. Civilian casualties were reported in the town of Souran north of Hama and in the town of Salba.
