The Conglomerate of the Free People of Houran reported the killing of 49 people in Daraa Province in January, including three women and two children. The victims include one person killed under torture in Sednaya Military Prison who was arrested in 2021, two children who died from the regime forces’ explosive remnants, a doctor who died in the clashes in Al-Kashif neighborhood, and a woman who was killed by an explosive device in Dara’a city.
The Conglomerate recorded 38 assassination attempts, resulting in the death of 31 people, injury of 27 others, and survival of seven people.
In January, 16 people were arrested by the regime forces and the Eighth Brigade in Daraa Province, and two kidnapping cases were recorded. Of the arrests, four were carried out by the Military Intelligence of the Assad regime, three by the Air Force Intelligence, and nine by the Eighth Brigade.
