Member of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Haitham al-Shihabi, and head of the local council in the town of al-Bab Mustafa al-Othman, met with local dignitaries in the cultural center in al-Bab on Wednesday to discuss the services reality in the town and the latest political developments.
Al-Shihabi spoke about the latest political and international developments related to Syria as he reaffirmed the SOC’s commitment to the goals and principles of the Syrian revolution and the Syrian people’s aspirations for freedom, justice and dignity.
He pointed out that the SOC attaches great importance to managing the liberated areas and improving the living conditions so as to present an alternative model to the Assad regime, which still refuses to implement UN resolutions and obstructs the process of reaching a political solution.
For his part, Al-Othman spoke about the latest projects in the town of Al-Bab as he gave an overview on the projects that the local council is working on. He stressed the need to continue the work to improve basic services in the liberated areas.
