Secretary-General of the Syrian Coalition Abdul Ilah Fahd praised the formation of a new Syrian interim government “in spite of the vicious attacks by the Assad regime and its allies on the Syrian people and the difficult conditions the Syrian people have been going through as a result of international policies.”
Fahd said that the new interim government will shortly embark on performing its tasks after it secured the confidence of the Syrian Coalition’s General Assembly, adding that the government will work side by side with the Syrian people at home.
“Despite the enormous challenges, the new interim government will carry out its tasks successfully provided that there is a clear plan of action,” Fahd said. He stressed that the new interim government will be committing to a plan of action that sets out clear priorities and one which builds bridges of trust and transparency with the Syrian people. The government will also work to strengthen the efficiency of its institutions in order to provide much needed services to the civilian population through effective management and investment of local resources and the creation of sources of finance.
