The Syrian Coalition’s political committee has begun a series of meetings to discuss the reports submitted by the presidential committee and the latest political developments on the international level. Interim Prime Minister Ahmed Tomeh will put the conferees in light of the current administrative and economic situation of the interim government. The interim Minister of Health will clarify the conditions that lead to the death of some of the children during the measles vaccination campaign in rural Idlib. The military strikes being conducted by the international coalition against ISIS positions topped the discussions of the conferees who stressed the need for expanding the international campaign to include directing strikes against regime positions. Moreover, the meeting discussed the situation of the Syrian refugees who fled the town of Ayn al-Arab (Kobanî) near the Turkish border, and stressed the need to meet their needs. The conferees also discussed the steps that need to be taken to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian refugees in Lebanon, stressing that the Lebanese government must take the necessary measures to stop the irresponsible actions of some Lebanese troops towards the Syrian refugees.
