The newly elected political committee of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) convened its inaugural meeting on Wednesday, with the full attendance of members from both the presidential body and the political committee. The meeting focused on outlining the upcoming work plan and defining the roles and responsibilities assigned to various committees and offices.
Participants engaged in a comprehensive reassessment of the SOC’s departments, offices, and committees. They explored opportunities to broaden their scope of activities, aiming for a network-based approach and fostering a participatory relationship that harnesses the capabilities and experiences of Syrians. This coordinated effort seeks to unite seasoned individuals to work as technocrats. Furthermore, attendees agreed on receiving action plans from the coordinators of the departments, offices, and committees in the near future to initiate their work effectively.
In addition, participants emphasized the importance of bolstering the legitimacy of the SOC. They highlighted the need to enhance its role and capabilities in alignment with a clear vision and goals aimed at benefiting the residents of areas under the administration of the Syrian Interim Government. This strategic approach aims to facilitate the establishment of comprehensive projects contributing to the improvement of living conditions in the liberated areas. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
