During her visit to the office of the Support Coordination Unit in Gaziantep, the French Special Envoy to Syria, Brigitte Curmi, expressed her appreciation for the role of the Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU) and its Executive Director, Mohamed Hasno, in the efforts made before and after the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on February 6. The head of the Syrian Interim Government, Abdurrahman Mustafa, was also present during the visit.
In a tweet, Curmi highlighted that the ACU is a reliable and effective Syrian institution, providing a comprehensive and accurate picture of the humanitarian needs in northwestern Syria. She stressed that France is committed to providing necessary aid to the Syrian people and ensuring that it reaches everyone in need.
It is worth noting that the ACU prepares a daily report with the latest developments on the devastating earthquake in northwestern Syria. The interactive report includes information on the number of victims, damaged buildings, places of shelter, and population numbers.
