The 18th session of the General Assembly meetings continues for the second day in Istanbul. The most important topics for discussion during the meeting are the Syrian Coalition’s by-laws, the financial system and the situation of the Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU). The conferees will also to listen to the electoral programs of the presidential candidates and discussed. The session, which began yesterday, will also discuss the latest field and political developments, especially the Russian initiative and the plan of the UN envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura as well as the results of the Syrian Coalition’s recent visits to Cairo and Riyadh. The Syrian Coalition’s by-laws and the governing relationship between its various institutions will also be discussed. Moreover, the General Assembly’s members will elect a new president and new vice presidents to succeed its current President Hadi al-Bahra and a new political committee and Secretary General.
