General Assembly Elects New Presidential Body

During the 18th session, the Syrian Coalition’s General Assembly elected Dr. Khaled Khoja the president of the Syrian Coalition, and Ms. Nagham al-Ghadiri and Dr. Hisham Marwah as Vice Presidents. Mr. Yahya Maktabi was elected as Secretary General. A new political committee was also elected and consists of Ahmed Ramadan, Akram Assaf, Khalid Nasser, Badr Jamous and Hassan al-Hashemi, Hussein al-Abdullah, Riyad Hassan, Salem al-Muslet, Salah Darwish, Abdul-Ahad Steifo, Fadi Ibrahim, Mohamed Dugheim, Khatib Badle, Mohammed Banko, Mohammed Qaddah, Nazir al-Hakim, Nora Al-Ameer and Hadi Al-Bahra. Nasr al-Hariri, the runner-up in the presidential elections, said after the vote “we are quietly confident that Khaled Khoja will do his best in this critical stage of the Syrian Revolution as has been serving it with the utmost patience and sincerity.
