Member of the Syrian Coalition Burhan Ghalioun said that in his latest speech, Hezbollah’s chief Nasrallah mimics Netanyahu who justified Israeli aggressions on southern Lebanon under the pretext of “defending Israel’s security, protecting its borders and deterring insurgents and saboteurs.”
“Nasrallah stated that his militias will address the situation in Qalamoun, claiming that if his party waited for a Lebanese consensus on the involvement in the Syrian conflict, armed groups would long took over many areas inside Lebanon,” Ghalioun added.
He responded to Nasrallah’s claims and his multiple justifications for his militia’s aggression on Syria and its people, stressing that “Hezbollah’s involvement in Syria is no longer for the protection of religious shrines and defending the so-called axis of defiance and resistance, but for defending the Assad regime. Nasrallah soon will have to find justifications to defend his stronghold in southern Beirut.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)
