Secretary-General of the Syrian Coalition, Nazir Hakim, urged the Syrian pilgrims to pray for Syria and its people as well as the fallen heroes, the detainees, and the people in the besieged areas.
Hakim, who was checking on the situation of Syrian pilgrims preparing to perform Hajj, stressed that the Coalition will not waive the rights of Syrian people or the demands of the Syrian revolution for freedom and dignity.
The last batch of intending Syrian pilgrims arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. The Supreme Hajj Committee, which organizes pilgrimage for intending Syrian pilgrims for the fifth consecutive year, said that a total of 15,000 Syrians are performing hajj this season.
The Committee has opened several offices in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, and northern Syria as well as branch offices in the UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait. The offices provide services to Syrian pilgrims and manage their affairs while performing hajj.
The Committee also oversees the reception of intending Syrian pilgrims and facilitates their movement in the airports until they reach their places of stay. The Committee set up a medical, religious and administrative office to take care of the Syrian pilgrims during their stay in the Kingdom. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Department)
