Nasr al-Hariri, Secretary General of the Syrian Coalition, stresses that “the Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU) is an integral part of the institutions of the Syrian Revolution and one of the most important achievements in the fields of relief work designed to serve the Syrian people who have been suffering due to the siege, random shelling and systematic destruction carried out by the Assad regime. ACU’s primary function is coordinating the delivery of monetary and in-kind support to the Syrian people in all accessible areas in Syria.” Hariri reviewed the mechanisms followed by ACU’s staff in documenting the needs of the needy households, recruiting, and in distributing the relief aid to the Syrian people during a meeting with the Unit’s staff. At the end of the meeting Hariri gave recommendations to increase the effectiveness of the performance of the Unit and to tackle the negative points in its performance. Moreover, Hariri pointed out that the efforts made by ACU must not be limited to the opponents of the Assad regime, but must extend its services to all the Syrian people without discrimination as the Syrian Revolution is for all Syrians. The Syrian Revolution will not differentiate between the Syrian people according to their loyalties or ideological affiliations. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
