The FSA’s Chief of Staff General Salim Idris confirmed that efforts are being made to unite the ranks of anti-regime fighters, and that the General Staff is still delivering military supplies and aid to the FSA. Idris also said that that the General Staff is working hard to ward off strife and to absorb all fighters on the ground against the Assad regime. Furthermore, Idris addressed “all military and revolutionary leaders, asking them to unite ranks in the face of injustice and tyranny. We take the initiate and extend our hand to everyone, and we consider all anti-Assad fighters as our brothers and sons.” Idris statement come two weeks after the Islamic Front took over the arms caches belonging to the General Staff near the Turkish border. The Islamic Front was formed on November 22 and is considered the largest conglomeration of forces that seek to overthrow the Assad regime. (Source: Syrian Coalition + Khaleej Times)
