The coordinator of the Office of Refugee Affairs in the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Salim Idris, has emphasized the SOC’s unwavering commitment to diligently monitor the well-being of Syrian refugees in Türkiye. He stated that the SOC is utilizing all available resources and capabilities to address the challenges faced by Syrian refugees.
This includes engaging in constructive dialogues with Turkish government officials, both in meetings held between the SOC’s presidency and Turkish representatives, as well as through the Joint Syrian-Turkish Committee.
Idris highlighted a recent meeting between SOC’s president, Salem Al-Meslet, and Turkish authorities, wherein crucial matters pertaining to Syrian refugees in Turkey were discussed extensively. The focus of the meeting was to identify ways to facilitate and legalize their residency.
