The Ministry of Education in the Syrian interim government send invitations to school principals in Turkey to attend the first meeting of the current academic year which will be held tomorrow in the city of Gaziantep. The meeting marks the start of work at the Ministry. The meeting will address administrative instructions that regulate the educational activities in Turkey, and the standardization of educational procedures that include holidays, exams, grading system and curricula. Schools masters are going to submit complete data related to schools they oversee. Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Hajj, an educational adviser to the Head of the Syrian Coalition, said in an exclusive statement to the Media Office of the Syrian Coalition that “the interim government will form a special directorate for the education of refugees and displaced persons, and will work with all non-governmental organizations that provide services to the Syrian people.” Al Hajj went on: “The Turkish government has already adopted the Syrian Coalition as a reference for dealing with the education of the Syrians in Turkey and now the interim government is going to build on the achievements of the National Commission for Education.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)
